As a senior vice president in Newmark Pearson Commercial's Industrial Division, Ethan H. Smith, CCIM, is able to draw on extensive marketing experience that he acquired before beginning his commercial real estate career in 2003. Mr. Smith began his career in sales in 1995 with E & J Gallo Winery, where he sold multiple product lines and introduced numerous new products through a variety of retail channels. In 1996, Mr. Smith transitioned to advertising at DDB Worldwide, where he focused on integrated sales promotions and relationship marketing and was responsible for managing the agency's multi-million-dollar relationships with such clients as American Airlines, Interstate Batteries, Frito-Lay and Pepsi. He left the agency in 1999 to help start PeoplePC, an Internet service provider, where he was responsible for all customer marketing programs in addition to serving as a member of the founding management team. Mr. Smith also oversaw the growth of the marketing department and the company's expansion into Europe and Asia. In 2001, Mr. Smith moved to iPrint Technologies, where he headed the company's acquisition and retention marketing programs.
